What I did yesterday - another gorgeous day in Paris!
French Girl is decked out in a complex combination of framboise. Still no clue how she does it...
I'm off to see an expo of watercolors by sketchbook artist par excellance, Fabrice Moireau from his new book Toits de Paris on 5, rue St.-Romaine 75006 at his publishers...
Perfectly exquisite views of Paris in innumerable shades of Paris greys.
You come outside and automatically your eyes turn upwards to those roofs...
Then downwards at the cerises everywhere in the marche...
Just a bit further up rue de Sevres and I'm in the irresistable Le Grand Epicerie. I trail after un homme in a red jacket...
I pick out a 'designer' box lunch for a snack - a layered affair like a verrine...
Back in the Metro to go see Sonia's expo in St. Germain. In bookstore Le Hune's vitrine this exercise poster makes me pause. Should I start doing leg circles right there in the street? It couldn't hurt at the pace I'm going at...
Cafe de Flore across the street...
Is jam packed, every square inch of pavement with Frenchies out enjoying the sun...
I stop enroute to Sonia at the Cafe de Flore shop, which for once is open...
Naturalment the credit card machine does not like my credit card so I settle on this packet of cafe magnets and continue running...
Down the street on 15,rue Saint-Benoit to la galerie Catherine Houard of Sonia Rykiel drawings - 2 floors of croqui sketches.
Just a macaron's throw away is Laduree Bonaparte - I must peek inside...
Just checking if they have all the new cupcake flavors. They do! Citron, fraise, chocolat, cassis, framboise - the flavors are magical but I resist - only browsing.
Back into the Metro for a tiny trip to l'Isle St-Louis to pick up a tiny dolls house silver tray at L'Ile Flottante...

They are not. Only Thursdays - Sundays...
Metro again to an expo of architecture and bande dessine -BD/comic books at Trocadero..
The exhibition covers New York, Paris, Tokyo and the evolution of comic books through various cities and their relationship to architecture...
There are videos, giant sketchbook blowups, interactive demos where you turn the pages...
Altogether a brilliant display of great drawings...
And incomparable city views tied in with cultural aspects and...Just go!
Time for some R & R at the Laduree salon de the in Printemps again...
I love the light here. Out comes the little silver tray I bought on Isle St-Louis (do you remember?) to shoot some still life setups + a gouter of macarons and a tisane de fleurs d'oranger
At last I head home to collapse. I love this Printemps display of girls walking their dogs...
