Premium Voyageur

Last morning in Paris...

Laduree is an absolute must last stop.
Bear happens to be traveling Air France Premium Voyageur. He knows as deluxe as Premium V. is, the food is strictly economy, so Bear will grab a few petit sandwiches for the trip.

Bien sur, Bear would really love to stay behind at Laduree and forgetabout NYC.

C'est la vie.
Bear goes one last time to Fauchon to say his goodbyes to Fauchon Bear...
Au revoir..a bientot!

A last stop at Printemps just to check. We've discovered there's a new promotion every 2 weeks on the ground floor. Remember the Mad Hatter's Tea Party a week ago? This week it's the new Miss Dior Cherie promotion and we get a scented pink ribbon souvenir...miam

At CDG duty free there's a beauty shop.
Bear, traveling Premium Voyageur sailed through check-in as a V.I.P. passenger, so he walzes in and tests a few French purfs before boarding oui?

Bear is very busy testing every $$$ purf in sight -
all for parfum researche bien sur.

Bear is a tad dyslexic and reads this sign as EXCLUSIVE TRAVELLER. He's feeling his oats definitivement!

BEAR boards via the special VIP entrance and drools over the waiting bottles of water. These bottles are worth the extra $$$ Bear paid for the PV seats without a doubt.

The giant movie screen is nothing to sniff at and no one's head can flop back into your lap - the seats are stationary. WOWZA!

Fancy headphones, extra nice pillows and thick blanket, special reading light...

Bear is one happy clam, ready to knuckle down and do a little sketching inflight...

Little does Bear know that his seating companion, mysterious Monsieur Up-In-The-Air will distract him from getting a lick of work done...ahem
The Air France head burser knows well frequent flyer, M.Up-In-the-Air and offers us 1st class wine in real glasses, Grand Cru Bordeaux Chateau Pichon-Langville! WOWZA!!!

Bear can't help but notice the bracelet of big BLACK PEARLS(!) Monsieur is wearing...what?

Monsieur brings out his i-Phone (which Bear instantly covets) and shows off his collection of hand-made black pearl jewelry he sells.
Bear is confused. Which does he covet more:
The i-Phone or the stunning black pearl jewelry?
The jewelry is available at Urban Zen, New York, Donna Karan's consept store...

Or in M.'s shop in Saint Tropez and at exclusive St. Barts. He gets the pearls from Tahiti. No wonder he has all this extra milage.
Bear is drooling like crazy...

Hence forth, Bear will never travel anything but AirFrance Premium Voyageur. This has been one big Premium adventure!

Boston French Library Exhibit

Yesterday morning I painted like a mad person for 4 1/2 hours straight on the bus and it was the best ride yet to Boston.

Naturally first thing I delivered the (140) macarons to the Boston French Library. And look what an elegant space it is!

Then I strolled out in the Boston Public Gardens...

The Fall colors are extraordinary!
Boston is so spacious and serene.
The streets are wide.
And cars do not deliberately try to hit you as you cross the street!?

There are many well-behaved squirrels.

Quite a few showed up at the FAB opening.

Back at the show, the Franck Deville macarons await the guests...

I think they lasted all of 10 minutes!
Violette, fraise, chocolat and chocolat foie gras. Toute a suite fini.

The champagne was flowing...

And guests were whooping it up!

I whooped it up too - 19 24 33 paintings sold!!!

Did I mention that I had 3, that's right THREE cups of New England Clam Chowder!!! At lunch, dinner and for breakfast this morning.
Now I'm back in New York where again several cars tried to hit me. c'est la vie

Happy as a Clam

Day #3 in Paris and still beautiful!

And I am still happy as a clam :)

Some men follow beautiful women in the street.
I follow Parisien doggies...

Sometimes, I take a picture and have no idea what is going on in front of the camera at that particular moment until I look at it later.
This is one of those...

No dog - I made it up :)

I stopped in at Passage Jouffroy to look at the toy facades in the window of Pain d'Epices...

I had planned to go to Vienna this trip to visit Mozart and Merisi.
Then I got obsessed with Parisien facades.
This is the closest I'm getting to Vienna...
