Rap mogul Jay-Z has penned a letter to a New York newspaper revealing plans for his sports bar.

In the letter, printed as an advert in the New York Daily News, Jay-Z explains that the 40/40 Club is now closed but will re-open in September after refurbishment.

'The 40/40 Club's makeover will draw inspiration from the energy, grandeur and opulence of New York City nightlife,' Jay-Z writes in the letter.''
