Rooftops in Paris ~
There is something magical about them. We visit Paris for the art museums, monuments, dining... however, it's easy to forget this architectural feature or one that we never realize it's depth of beauty until it takes our breath away.
I envision my favourite artists, authors, poets and actors living under them, if only for a short time. The great works of art that have been created, the stories that have been written, the poems dedicated to loves, Audrey dancing in Funny Face...and, of course, fabulous soirées!
Each structure, one of many, that make up a panoramic pattern, is most striking when bathed in the warm glow of sunrise or sunset.
Any view of Paris rooftops is my favourite city gazing spot. If it includes a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides, Notre Dame, Opéra Garnier, buildings of Haussmann architecture, dramatic cloud formations and sunsets.. it's that much better!
