Petit dejeuner again
This time at La Patisserie des Reves' new salon de the111, rue de Longchamps 75016
There should be tinkling music playing...
It's that magical...
Like a peek inside a pastry chef's dream laboratoire...
Except everything is real. Including the BEST Paris-Brest in Paris according to Le Figaro.
Miam-miam!The brioche by the way is Reves pink logo.
The pink salon is in the back facing a petit jardin...
Everything is pink pink pink including the menu and everything is designed within an inch/centimeter of its life.
I kill time browsing pastry chef Pierre Conticini's cookbook, Sensations...
Major miam!
Why does a macaron never look like this when I cut/bite into it?
et voila! La brioche
BEAR is on hand to assist with petit dej since Jeanette cannot make it...
One does not leave La Patisserie des Reves empty handed...

Have you ever seen Mike Hodges' Croupier or the gangster movie to top all gangster movies, Get Carter?
I saved Harvey Nichols for last in London - it is one of the best department stores ever.
They don't get much swankier...
It's a bit like an art museum - you never know what to expect visually floor to floor. Even the escalators have surprises...
Are par excellence - this Alexander McQueen dress says it all..
The food halls...
Definitely glittering...
Cupcakes in every imaginable kind of gift box...
Truly spectacular windows at Harvey Nichols.
Knock-your-socks-off window displays.
By the way, THANK YOU for all the cups and saucers you've been sending me to paint, some even from Budapest! Thank you Chas for your Cafe Deux Magots cups.
And a big Thanks to Julie of the Provence Post for the shoutout about the cup/croissant watercolors. Do visit Julie, who has to spend half the year in Provence...quelle dommageBONJOUR HARVEY NICHOLS!
