Yesterday I did a grand tour of Colette Paris on 213 rue Saint-Honore 75001, Metro - Tuilleries
Colette's logo - blue dots...
Are everywhere...
There is a general dottiness about this boutique...
As BEAR found out last time he visited...
A lot of friendly bears here too...
By 'dottiness', you can find all manner of things eclectic, whimsical, funny...
At all price ranges...
Whatever is au courant in Paris - there is a big new Jean-Michel Basquiat show at the musee d'Art Moderne and a new film just opened, so it's in Colette's DVD section...
Tons of techie equipment as well...
If there's a new interesting book out, Colette will have it on their tables. *Note the Japan Fashion Now catalog. You saw it first at PB.
Of course...
There is catty stuff...
Go upstairs...
For the most au courant fashion...
Colette is consistently ahead of the curve...
Outside the box...
If you don't see what you want, check out their tech support...
Next floor up is Colette's galerie - remember The Selby opening/vernissage?
Sous-sol you can grab a gouter/snack amidst more blue dots and watch a Peanuts video...
Colette has a house dog, who both guards and rules the roost bien sur. If you're wondering how I got all these photos, I wrote ahead and asked permission to invite you inside.Permission granted.
Merci beaucoup COLETTE!

Next this painted ruffly tutu at the Art-Paris show...Repetto's windows were full...
They sell real tulle tutus inside...
Was I seeing a Degas trend in Paris..?And The New Yorker has caught up with Polyvore, so we better get out our sissors vite! We can all become virtual Anna Wintours...
The most edible frill on the rue in my book is always at Gerard Mulot - a mini swirl of indulgent pure, riche chocolat - Miam!
It has. Get out your sissors and start cutting up any old ruffly skirt hidden in the back of your closet VITE!
BONJOUR LES JUPES VOLANTS!

I was thrilled to catch Bill in action at the Paris shows...
The Big Boys run to shoot a blond celeb - no way I can get in there edgewise. *Note celeb's old-fashioned Chanel bag with chain -it's back in fashion PB readers - dust yours off svp. ELLE says so.
But much better than grabbing your numbered seat in the bleachers.
The Wall Street Journal has the whole scoop...
You Are Where You Sit at the Shows
Blogger Parisienne Anne of MesVitrinesNYC covers Paris fashion windows meticulously and with wit.
Peter'sParis captures perfectly Paris monuments of all kinds.
D'arcy of Chicsetera shoots tea here - not a problem...
Me, I shoot backs - also not a problem, like this Printemps esculator rider...
A cobalt blue short skirt caught on rue Saint Honore...
A cobalt blue collar, worn by famous Colette dog belonging to FAB rue Saint Honore boutique.
Bear gets a smackdown when he attempts to shoot anything else inside Colette though...He will let Bill be the man-in-the-street and stick to what he does best - shooting macarons and pastry shops etc.
BONJOUR BILL CUNNINGHAM!!!
