Will Smith and Josh Brolin were busy filming on location for Men In Black III in the Queens borough of New York City on Wednesday (May 25).

Dressed in, well, black, the hunky leading men were in character as former NYPD members recruited to the MIB who time travel back to the 1960s to visit a young Agent K (as played by Tommy Lee Jones). The film’s villain Boris (Jemaine Clement) travels back in time to try and kill Agent K in order to set off a chain of events which will result in the end of the world.

Will is back in the Big Apple after a brief stay in Chicago over the weekend where he participated in the Oprah farewell special.

During the appearance, the actor’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith famously turned a beautiful moment into an awkward one when she abruptly said, “I know you don’t have children of your own,” to Oprah. She balanced it slightly with and end to her sentence, “But you’ve mothered millions.” Oprah looked at Jada, the supermom of celebrity supermoms, and simply said: “Thank you.”

Oprah Winfrey brought the house down with an emotional farewell speech during her last ever show.

The talk show queen has interviewed about 30,000 guests during her 25-year reign on daytime TV, and is reported to have never missed a single day’s work in all that time.

The final taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show took place yesterday in Chicago.

In a sneak online preview of the hour-long show, Winfrey tells the audience: “Every single day I came down from my make-up room or elevator, I would offer a prayer of gratitude or delight for the privilege of doing this show.

“Gratitude is the single greatest treasure I will take with me from this experience – the opportunity to have done this work. To be embraced by all of you, watched, is the one of the greatest honours any human being can have.”

During her emotional farewell speech, the 57-year-old chat show host tells the audience how much they have meant to her and thanks them for being her “sweet inspiration”.

She says: “I’ve been asked many times during this farewell season, is ending the show bittersweet? Well I say… all sweet. No bitter. And here’s why. Many of us have been together for 25 years. We have hooted and hollered together, had our ‘Aha!’ moments. We ugly cried together and we did our gratitude journals.

“So I thank you all for your support and your trust in me and for sharing this yellow brick road of blessings. I thank you for tuning in every day along with your mothers and your sisters and your daughters, your partners – gay and otherwise – your friends and all the husbands who got coached into watching Oprah.

“I thank you for being as much a sweet inspiration to me as I’ve tried to be to you. I won’t say goodbye – I’ll just say until we meet again.”

Tom Hanks served as host and cheerleader for the evening, telling Winfrey "tonight you are surrounded by nothing but love" as he thanked "a friend who had a classroom of millions" for everything she's done for her viewers.

Much was said about Winfrey's charity work, but even more was said about how she inspired her fans to lead better lives and help others.
"It's no secret that millions of people are inspired by Oprah," a gushing Madonna told the crowd on Tuesday.

"She's a self-made woman who's been at the top of her game for over 25 years and she is still kicking ass and encouraging people to dream big, to work hard, to read a book, to ask questions, to get an education no matter who you are or where you come from."

The two shows -- which will air Monday and Tuesday ahead of the final episode Wednesday -- were filled with surprises for Winfrey, who was brought to tears again and again.

Winfrey could do little more than shout "MJ is in the house!" when Chicago Bulls basketball legend Michael Jordan returned to Chicago's United Center arena to join her on stage.

She was also overwhelmed when Jaime Foxx serenaded her with "Isn't she lovely," and Stevie Wonder rose up from under the stage at the keys of a grand piano with a new song he'd written for her.

And she sat stunned as esteemed poet and personal mentor Maya Angelou told the story of Winfrey's life while Alicia Keys accompanied her on the piano.

"I'm just trying to stay inside my body girls," Oprah told her friends Gayle King and Maria Shriver as the tributes filled show approached its emotional conclusion.

Dakota Fanning led a group of young "ultimate viewers" -- including one who thanked Winfrey for helping to "lift the shame of being abused and taught me it wasn't my fault."

"We call ourselves Oprah show babies. Your voice has been the soundtrack of our lives," Fanning said.

"We've learned from the Oprah show that we are enough. That we matter, that our lives are of value."

Beyonce stunned the crowd with a rousing performance of her female empowerment anthem "Run the World (Girls)."

"Oprah, because of you women everywhere have graduated to a new level of understanding of what we are, of who we are, and most importantly who we can be," Beyonce said before launching into the set.

Jerry Seinfeld got the audience laughing by thanking Oprah for teaching men how to be better husbands and how to survive disagreements by learning to talk as if they're on Oprah: "Just listen, nod and answer the question."

Winfrey's devoted fans may be losing a beloved afternoon companion, but they certainly won't have to say goodbye.

The cultural kingmaker -- whose comfy couches have launched scores of careers from Dr. Phil to the inventors of her 'favorite things' -- expanded her media empire January 1 with the high-stakes launch of her OWN cable network.

The network -- a partnership between Winfrey's Harpo Productions and Discovery Networks -- will offer 600 hours of original fare in its first year along with movies, re-runs of the Dr. Phil show and several shows previously aired on Discovery Health.
"Oprah as we get closer to saying goodbye to the Oprah Winfrey show as we know it, we will always be there for you as your next chapter begins," Tom Cruise vowed.

Damn, Oprah moves quick! Just hours after Arnold Schwarzenegger announced he fathered another child, Oprah has already booked Maria Shriver for her final show and offered her her own show!

Maria will guest star on Oprah’s final show, presumably to talk about the scandal. Big time TV syndicators have been hounding her camp all morning to score the first interview—but it looks like Oprah moved quicker than them and locked her in.

So why Oprah? Aside from her massive audience, Maria is reportedly also in talks with Oprah’s OWN network for her own talk show.

NBC was interested in giving her her own talk show a few months ago, but the idea never really went anywhere—until the scandal broke. Now they’re desperate to get her on NBC. You snooze, you lose.

Earlier this morning Arnold confessed that he’s been a massive sleaze and fathered a 10 year-old child with someone who worked for the family. And he waited 10 years to tell Maria!

Schwarzenegger told The Times, "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has revealed she was devastated to not be invited to the Royal Wedding.

'I was not invited,' Ferguson said on The Oprah Winfrey Show. 'I chose to go and be in Thailand in a lovely place called Camelia… the jungle embraced me,' the 51-year-old ex-royal added.

Ferguson was widely reported to have upset the Royal Family after she allegedly tried to sell media access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew for £500,000.

She said being snubbed from the wedding, which her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie attended without her, 'was so difficult because I wanted to be there with my girls, to be getting them dressed and to all go together as a family'.

She added: 'Also, it was so hard, because the last bride up that aisle was me. I knew all those feelings.”

Bono appeared on the Oprah show where he discussed the issue of transsexualism as well as his relationship with his famous mother.

Earlier this week the National Enquirer reported that John Travolta had taken Lindsay “under his wing” and introduced her to members of the Church of Scientology, but she insists there’s no truth to it.

Lindsay told TMZ she has no plans whatsoever to become a Scientologist and hasn’t even been approached by anyone from the Church.

Lindsay was raised a Catholic and doesn’t plan on hoping on the Scientology bandwagon anytime soon.

Sadly, it would probably be great for her career. If they helped Tom Cruise recover from that Oprah couch incident, they can do wonders for Lindsay. #justsayin.
