New mum Mariah Carey has started a baby name guessing game with her followers on Twitter.

The pop diva, who have birth to a girl and a boy on 30 April, in LA, revealed that her babies’ names both begin with the letter “M” and is urging her fans – who she refers to as her “lambs” and “lambily” – to post their theories on the social networking site.

Carey, who also renewed her vows with husband Nick Cannon on the same day the twins were born, tweeted: “So we are about to reveal the actual names and before we tell them to our friends etc. I had to see if any of the lambily wanted to guess!”

The 42-year-old singer-actress then tweeted: 'The game continues! This crew is a lil slow… Coming up next – the initials… both begin with M’s [sic]! :)'

Carey, who posted pictures of herself on Twitter with a butterfly-painted pregnancy bump prior to giving birth to her twins – who she affectionately calls “dem babies” – also thanked her fans for their good wishes.

She tweeted: “I wish I could personally thank all those around the world who continue to send congrats and prayers for dem babies! They're doing great.”
