Lady Gaga has revealed that she hopes to be a mummy one day.

The 25-year-old singer, who is rumoured to have broken up with long-term boyfriend Luc Carl, said that for now her career comes first, but she does want to have a family sometime in the future.

Talking to the Y100 Miami radio station, she said, 'I think at some point, yeah, I'll have a family and babies and all those things, but not right now.

'Not for a while... Right now I have lots of fans. I'm giving birth to lots of little monsters, so I need to keep down the stretch marks.'

And she also revealed that she would be open to venturing into the world of movies.

'I think if anything I might do something directorial first,' she said. 'I'm really just a musician and a pop singer and I just want to keep making records. Right now I'm just really excited about the new tour.'
