Rihanna Defends “Man Down” Video: “I'm a Rock Star With No Kids

Taking to her Twitter page yesterday the 23-year-old claimed she was a 'rockstar not a parent' and that she had 'the freedom to make art'.
The Parents Television Council slammed the Barbadian beauty's video for showing a 'cold, calculated execution of murder'.
The clip shows her taking revenge on an alleged rapist by gunning him down.
But Rhi Rhi, who is herself a victim of domestic violence, disagreed with the comments.
She wrote: 'I'm a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What's up with everybody wanting me to be a parent? I'm just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!
'Cuz we all know how difficult/embarrassing it is to communicate touchy subject matters to anyone especially our parents!
'The music industry isn't exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! Its your job to make sure they don't turn out like US.'

The Umbrella singer, who was famously assaulted in 2009 by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown, released the harrowing video for her new single Man Down this week.
It shows the singer opening fire on a man at a railway station before a series of flashback images show her grappling with him outside a nightclub as he tries to rape her.

After unveiling the graphic clip, Rihanna wrote on Twitter: "Thank you for the amazing response on Man Down video I love you guys, and I love that u (sic) got it!!! Young girls/women all over the world... we are a lot of things! We're strong innocent fun flirtatious vulnerable, and sometimes our innocence can cause us to be naive!
"We always think it could never be us, but in reality, it can happen to any of us! So ladies be careful and listen to yo (sic) mama! I love you and I care!"

The 23-year-old S&M singer said that she is a sucker for a large package, but confided that she is also attracted to 'sweet' men.
Asked by US Cosmopolitan magazine how she likes blokes, she joked, 'Hot and hung, but sweet will do.'
'I'm turned on to a guy by different things,' she continued. 'It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. It's really a spontaneous thing.'
She also revealed that she is like a man when it comes to dating.
'I'm open to love but guys should have to earn it because the minute they get it, they want something else,' she explained. 'Men are like hunters, they like the chase. So you have to keep them guessing.
'Actually, I'm like that too. I get bored very quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that's the best.'

After Rihanna tweeted that she was in for the night with popcorn and her TV remote, Kardashian boldly tweeted, "I can make this right here happen."
But the Kardashian bro wasn't the only one who was playing the sandbox flirting game.
"Its past your bedtime," Rihanna tweeted in response.
But the 140 character quipping wasn't over as Kardashian coyly responded, "You can put me to bed ;)" after tweeting, "I need a date for my Sis @KimKardashian WEDDING!"
Was that Kardashian's way of slyly hinting to the 'S&M' singer that she's at the top of his list for potential plus ones?
This after Kardashian admitted to mom, Kris Jenner, on the latest episode of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' that he may have gotten a girl pregnant -- his confession came before the discovery that said 'girl' suffered a miscarriage. Looks like you've got a real winner on your hands, Rihanna.

The 23-year-old singer split with Brown in 2009 after he attacked her, but had her restraining order against him lifted in February so that they could both go to the Grammys.
However, a source told Now magazine that they have been seeing more of each other and are even thinking of getting back together.
'Ri-Ri's always loved Chris - that never changed,' said the insider. 'They've texted and Skyped each other a lot recently and met up at a mutual friend's house in Los Angeles after the restraining order expired.
'Ri-Ri wants to be with Chris but is worried about her career and fans.
'She's trying to find a way to take him back publicly without letting down her supporters, her management and her friends, or setting a bad example.
'Chris has said he'll be as patient as she needs him to be, but after being slammed on Twitter for just following him, she's begun to worry that they may never get to be together in public.'

The 17-year-old singer - who was accompanied to the bash by girlfriend Selena Gomez - was reportedly left red-faced after he was prevented from talking to the 'S&M' star after he approached her five times at the prestigious event, which took place at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The insider said: "Justin thinks Rihanna is the most beautiful woman and supremely talented.
"He is in awe of her. Justin is just a red-blooded teenager, he can't help acting like a love-sick puppy dog when he's around her. "The pair were chatting as Justin's girlfriend Selena looked on, scowling. Then Rihanna got dragged away by a couple of her friends.
"The pair resumed their chat later but when Justin went to talk to her at the show's climax her security blocked his path, telling him to 'leave it'."
The 'Baby' hitmaker was said to be "mortified" at the rebuff because he thought he and Rihanna were friends after talking to her at the BRIT awards earlier this year.
The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Justin looked mortified - he thought they were buddies."
However, the teenage singing sensation appears to be over his disappointment as he has jetted off on holiday to Hawaii with Selena.
The pair were spotted arriving in Maui hand-in-hand yesterday (23.05.11) after taking a flight from Los Angeles LAX airport and headed straight to the beach.

Britney Spears - Spears & Rihanna Stun Vegas Crowd At The Billboard Music Awards

Both pin-ups wore matching leather bodices - Britney's was black and Rihanna's white - and the girls writhed around the stage and pole danced as they performed the sexy hit, with their hands clamped with handcuffs, attached by chains.
Spears made a grand entrance in the middle of the song - seated on a chair which rose up from beneath the stage with a sado-masochistic bunny mask on her face.
The crowd went wild at the Mgm Grand arena as they realised who Rihanna's special guest was.
Maybe next year Billboard will change the name of the show to THE GODNEY BILLBOARDNEY SHOW.

RiRi's followers started tweeting her nasty things after she started following Chris, who famously beat her and left her bloody and bruised two years ago.
After one fan asked if she was back with her former boyfriend Rihanna snapped: “its fu**in twitter, not the altar! (sic)”
After the admirer became upset she quickly apologized, explaining that she wanted to make it clear to all her followers that she was not back in a relationship with Chris.
She wrote: "babygirl I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt or offend u! Just needed to make it clear to the Navy! I still Stan for u xoxo. (sic)"
It's hilarious what a big deal people make out of celebrities following people. I follow and unfollow people all the time, so I'm sure celebs do it too. It's not like she's physically following Chris around people.

Chris’ mom Joyce Hawkins told him he needs to just “deal with” it and go on with his life Joyce Hawkins told Sister 2 Sister magazine: "I think he really needs to talk about the situation in itself, what actually happened to Rihanna, so that he can get that out for himself.
"He has to learn to deal with it and go on with his life. This is something that happened; it was a huge mistake, it was not good at all. But he is still a human being and we all make mistakes and we live and we go on with it. But he has to own it, deal with it and move on with his life."
You know who has moved on? Rihanna. Her career has been on fire the last two years. She releases hit songs after hit songs, is planning another summer tour and has basically dominated every radio station and magazine cover.
So how does she feel about this whole Chris Brown thing two years later?
Rihanna said, “We don't have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn't want to make it more difficult for him professionally (by releasing the restraining order). What he did to me was a personal thing. It had nothing to do with his career.”
